I was looking at exhausts and noticed that some say 2:1. My bike has 2 mufflers (one on each side). Does that numbering mean that once you replace it, you get only one muffler instead of 2? If that's the case, doesn't that mess up the weight ratio of the bike?

Also, on other aftermarket exhausts, if they are direct replacements and the price is entered as in "each"- does that mean that I have to purchase 2 in order to replace my OEM ones?

The weight of an exhaust can is not going to be missed, as far as a side-to-side difference. You'll lose a good bit of weight, going from two heavy stock cans to one aftermarket, but it's not going to pull to the side of the can or anything. Don't sweat it.

And yes, if you are buying cans only, and using the stock headers, you need two cans.
