So I pull up to the super huge QT gas station this morning, lookin all fresh and awwwwwwesome in my gear and shiny clean bike... open up the tank and get everything set and start pumpin the fuel.

Dude in a truck across the way says, "Buddy, look down. You're getting it on the tires."

Gas all over the place. I stuck the nozzle at the edge like I typically do, but I usually fill up from the other side of the bike. So the nozzle is pointing straight at the vent and gas is going straight down the lines spilling out all over the place.

Luckily the guy told you about it. Could have been worse like....."Dang, I put 50 bucks in the tank and it's still not full yet"

I bet you had a hard time leaving with gas all over your tires. Doesnt take more than a second to get gas everywhere

I just rolled the bike away from the puddle and filled her up the rest of the way. Rode real slow for about a mile, was fine the rest of the way.

I shoulda thought of the ghost rider shit. Oh well, I'll probably have to fill up tomorrow :lao

Ouch. I always carry a mini can of the Honda Spray and Polish with a clean rag. Just in case I spill any fuel on the tank or fairings.
