I want to do some frame welding on my XT550 and I don't know what I should do as far as protecting my electronics. I want to weld a suspension mount for a customized shock so I need a strong clean weld. My father has a stick welder but I can get ahold of just about any welder I would want right down the road.
Getting electronics for this bike is impossible and expensive, ESPECIALLY the CDI unit which I had to source from new Zealand for a few hundred bucks, so primary concern is protection of electronics.
Advice?
