Hi,

I just purchased a new zx6r and i am still in the break in process, but my question is. When I am in neutral at a stop and shift into first gear, it won't go in. I would have to rock the bike back and forth a little to get it to go in. I would say about 50% of the time. Is this normal for the break in process? and should it get better with miles and time? Or should i be worried and have it checked out? Thanks.

I don't have to do that with my bikes, but I have heard it being normal for some others. typically you shouldn't ever be in neutral unless you are just warming the bike up. when you come to a stop you should be downshifting all the way to 1 so you don't have to worry about rocking the bike to get it in gear.
