I found a Yamaha dealer that has a 2004 FZ 6 for sale with 4000 mi..Its for sale for $5300 , but he would accept $5000. Its in great shape and serviced at the dealer with a 32 point check. Good deal or no? Would it be a big deal for him to throw in a helmet or other gear from the dealership?

Thank you

I'd be more apt to go new if possible. That way you know its full service record, and have full control over everything that happens to it, otherwise you're hoping the person that had it before you did all the proper maintenance.

How about hoping the person didn't throw it down the road at some point in his short period of ownership. Low mileage used is nice but I always wonder about the previous owner's motivation to get rid of it after such a short period of time.

"hmmmm...I guess it was foolish of me to start it and rev it to 14,000 before I put the oil back in it...maybe I'll sell it before I blow it up, further" :lol
