There is a guy in cali (i assume he's a CHP officer) that rides track and had his leathers made to resemble a cop uniform and the bike the match.

Not sure I would want to take my hands off the bars during a high speed pursuit to shoot at some tires. Why couldn't ya stop someone while riding one?

Speaking from some experience they can do the same thing with a cruiser too.

Police bikes are especially good for vehicle violations. It's a less expensive piece of equipment that you can use with the same effectiveness when coming to traffic violations, and it let's you spare a cruiser for other purposes.

By the time a policebiker hails you he's already called in the description of your car and your plates for some info on you. In this area if you have a ciminal violation on your record the officer will summon a squad car to back him up. If someone tries to commit vehicular manslaughter to an officer of the law, there are some SERIOUS penalties. Always remember, even if you out run the cop, you can't outrun Motorola.

Our motor officers are trained and take quarterly training in tactics such as shooting from the bike.
