Well, I installed my TCP painted hugger this afternoon, in the process I ran into a few kinks... namely, the bolts on the chain side of the bike weren't long enough to thread through the new painted hugger. Luckily, the leftover bolts from my install of the FE kit let me get it on, but I found it a bit strange that I might have been pretty stuck if it wasn't for Mike in a totally unrelated situation.
The other thing that kind of bothers me a bit is the "plug" that sits at the front center of the hugger... there was no way to get it out, other than to pop it out by pulling up on the hugger... when it popped, the plug that was in there flew somewhere into oblivion not to be found ... so that hole is now empty.
I was just wondering, in my opinion it seems like an unnecessary fastener, but what do you guys think, should I get it replaced?
And don't worry, tomorrow I'm installing my lower chin fairing and after that goes on (hopefully with no missing fasteners...) I *will* be taking pics and posting them.
