It's Red/White, size is XL (which is what I wear).

Any opinions on it? Thanks.

If it is constructed to the same quality as the last pair of Icon gloves I had then, assuming you dont crash, it should hold up like a champ for about two months before it falls apart. If you do happen to crash I would give even money on it exploding into a shower of loose colorfull nylon threads, pretty.

Looks, not protection my friend. Side by side with a Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket you will see that jacket's shortcomings.

Loose threads=bad stitching and flimsy armour. The zippable sleeves don't help its case either.

I had the Tarmac gloves too, at let me tell you they are CRAP! I don't think I'll ever buy another Icon product again. I just got them for my MSF course, and now I use them when I ride my mountain bike. Just a poorly made product.

yeah the tarmac gloves are pretty shitty, if you can afford better go ahead. For the $20 bucks I paid for both versions I must say they were acceptable for the price and what I used them for, ie. a basic glove to cover my hand and feel the controls.

When I first started this thread, I had already bought the jacket on ebay and was waiting on it to get to me. I got it today and wore it on my way to work. Here's my initial opinion:

The zipper came undone at the bottom of the jacket when I leaned forward on the bike. That's not good because if I go down, I know it won't hold up.

It's too short. It fits well everywhere, even the sleeves fit right. I guess they think when someone buys XL they do it for fit around the chest and stomach and don't really take into account how tall they are.

The only praise I can think of is that the air cut through it very well.

Someone has already made a note of this on this site, but for those that didn't catch it, and I'm not sure if it's all Icon jackets or just this one, but in the pocket that is inside the jacket itself is a token of St. Christopher, the saint of protection. I thought that was kinda cool.

Yeah if you do a search, you'll find a thread down in this forum about a guy with an Icon jacket commenting how he resembled a Spanish Matador with the jacket on because it is so short. I think everyone that read that was rolling. Even on New Enough in their reviews they have commented on the shortness of Icon jackets.

Every mesh jacket I have worn wasn't bad with airflow

Yeah, I found that too
