Alright, guys... I'll let the pics do the talking. I laid it down at about 20. Came in too hot on the rear in a place I shouldn't have. I danced with a curb :banana and voila'... Stunt bike? The frame is dented and there is a hole about the size of a nickel. Also a small crack. Can this be fixed/rewelded or is the frame compromised? These may be dumb questions but I assure you that they are relevent to either rebuilding for cost efficiency or thrashing the bike for fun... The bike is a 2000 750 so Putting a load of cash into it is about as dumb as dancing with curbs. HELP!! :headbang

From the pics I'd say the frame is toast, but have a good shop check it out. I doubt the frame can be repaired, but if that's the only damage maybe it can be reasonably replaced. If you can find a used frame and do the work yourself, it may not cost too much. You might end up with a salvage title in the process however. Bikes can be fixed/replaced. Glad you weren't hurt (?). Part it out and get a new bike or replace the frame. Your going to spend more fixing it then another used bike of the same type. :|

That bike is dead, and the frame is done. Would not trust that frame for a stunt bike that puts a lot more load than usual on the frame.

The bike's done. Unless something has changed, FL considers any frame damage on a bike as 'totalled' ... even if it's much less damage than that and is repairable. A few years ago a bud of mine got a microscopic fraction of that amount of damage to his bike's frame and they totalled it out on him. He ended up just parting the bike out.
