I guess I could say the same thing about my transition...from 1991 Honda CBR 600 > 2004 Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Except instead of night and day, its more like the difference between a small planet like Mars at night in the winter, and a medium sized planet like Earth in the summertime on a cool day. Yeah...its a helluva difference. But was well-worth it in my opinion as I felt ready for it. Still have been too lazy to take it to a track though. Straight or otherwise. :)

Thats a sweet post, I'd love to hear more people's experience upgrading from 250 or 500 to an SS bike.
I ride my wife's ninja 250 back and forth to work and then the gsxr on weekends. The ninja get 60mpg and I don't feel like racking up the miles on the gsxr......20 miles each way on boring straight roads

The difference between the two is like night and day. The power, braking, suspension, handling, riding position, throttle response and over all feel for the bike is so vastly far superior on the GSXR. duh.....

The only similarities between the bikes is the fact they are both motorcycles........it ends there. If I dropped $2,000+ on the ninja's suspension, and brakes, it would handle and stop VERY good due to its light weight but it would still be slowing than my Z/28
