I use to use Yamalube 20W-40, but now I use Shell Rotella T 15W-40. If you change your oil regularly and are only doing street riding, that'll be fine for you.

I've been using motul for years on several bikes and will stick w/motul since I have not had any issues using their oil.

As long as you keep it changed regularly and don't use an energy conserving oil (10w-30 or thinner is not optimal for wet clutches), then you should be fine.

I run Mobil 20w-50 (summer) or 10w-40 (colder months) and I haven't had any problems.
