fistful of fun eh what?
G'day SB
My bike also had its 1000km service this week (well it was actually 1250kms) dunno if you did yours yourself- mine cost $150 (incl $90 labour)
Yes I truly understand the grin factor now once you dial on a few extra herbs :lol
Unlike yours my commute is 50km each way over a combo of twisty country roads and bumpy old Bruce Highway (some of the potholes have stairs).
My bike likes to sit on around 117kmh ~ 6000rpm (6th) and at that speed the wind buffeting is quite tolerable. I can't imagine what speed I'd be cruising on if this bike was faired but I suspect my licence would be very very temporary.
I like the naked sportsbike concept- you still get all the great acceleration and handling but the wind buffeting means that you don't sustain licence vapourising velocities

for all that long.
I am following your lead and have got a Ventura system on order red Aero Spada IV, will have a look around the labs at work for some rubber bungs to stop the tubes when I don't have the rack on
I've also got an Anderson universal rear stand and a Motodry tankbag on order- woohoo talk about a middle-age midlife crisis- anyway its a great excuse to get great toys
cheers .... kimbo
