I know there's another thread like this one in the Open Forum section, but I thought I`d ask the FZ6 family, since no-one ever ventures out of here! Plus I`d like to know a little more about all the regulars around here... let's get to know each other a little better!

So who are you? what do you do for a living? Don`t be shy, share a pic of yourself!

I am David, 28, married and recently dad :banana

I am originally from France (North East) and moved to the US when I was 21... I had done a 6months internship in a company in LA as part of my business/marketing college, and my boss at the time offered me to come back after I got my diploma... so of course I finished the last year I had to do in College and called the guy...

Today I am a Program Manager, still for the same Aerospace company and life is good!
The things I love: my wife and baby (had to put that 1st), travel (been all over Europe, North and South America, Africa, but never to Asia or Australia), french food and wine, motorcycles (owned a couple back in France, i.e. CB500 followed by a Hornet, and now my FZ), enjoy computer stuff (video editing + FPS & rally games, some VB), and to build and fix stuff around the house. I speak french, english and german fluently.
Things I hate: ppl that complain, crashing my almost finished FZ :D

Here is a recent pic on my FZ:

I know, I am showing off a little bit on that ^^ lol

ps: and magseal/whisperquiet, if you post, you'd better have a real pic of you! :twofinger

Congrats on the new-dad thing!

Pete, corn fed boy from Indiana, 35 livin large in the highest city in the USA :) I climb radio towers for a living. Divorced a year ago after 8 years of marriage (not at all sad about that). Masters Degree in Information Systems, not even close to using it. Work too much, don't play enough (all the money in the world is worthless if ya don't have fun). Hoping for one more day of riding before the snow flies...

Rob, 24, I was born in London but moved here to Brisbane, Australia when I was two. I'm a software developer for a stockbroker. If it means anything to anyone I'm mostly a vb.net programmer, and I'm moving towards sharepoint development. Currently working on some nice infopath forms with workflows attached behind them.

I'm a self confessed nerd, but nothing like the guys I work with... I don't play Dungeons and Dragons, World of Warcraft and I'm not obsessed with Star Wars (although the originals were a shiteload better than the new ones).

Like wavex I also love travelling, having been to parts of england, wales, singapore, south africa, malaysia, thailand, new zealand, america and canada. Plan on going over to europe in 09. Want to see more of Australia as well!

I live with my girlfriend, no kids thankfully!

I used to work quite a bit on cars doing them up etc, but got tired of only being able to afford crappy old things that weren't very quick... so I sold my car and bought the FZ and now can get free parking at work in the city which is fantastic (public transport is a pain).

I love riding with my mate who has a cbr600rr, watching movies (watch quite a few art house and french movies actually, they are always so god damn funny and not trash like hollywood)

okay here goes....

Daniel, from the central coast (where petshopboy resides), and i now live in San Diego. i love it, it is riding weather all year long. not married (don't even have a girlfriend anymore.....too expensive). i am a senior at UCSD, i finish next quarter (march)....woot, woot. i have no idea what i want to do with my life (work wise). i have been pre-med, i studied italian studies for a while (i lived there for two year and speak italian fluently). i ended up doing psych. i love it....not much of a future in though. i am probably going to join the sheriff's department here when i graduate and then maybe go to law school.

things i love: my bike, hiking, halo 3, and hanging with my people.

this is the only pic with me AND my bike that i could find.

I'm Jon, 27, married since last Sept. to an amazing girl named Amber. I'm a financial advisor for one of the largest investment firms in the world. When I'm not riding I'm pretty much a couch potato/book worm. My wife and I play a lot of video games, watch TV, read, and laze around with our dog and 2 cats. And until recently I did martial arts for the past 10 years. No kids yet, but we're keeping our fingers crossed!

Below are me and my two-wheeled buddy in a pic taken at the 2007 Mass-Holes Meet. The greatest thing in the world right now is an excuse to load all my luggage onto my FZ6 and head on down the road - that and hanging out with my friends and drinking beer and watching sports (especially motorcycle racing). I'm a home-body at heart though.

I've been a graphics manager for a telecom/media consulting firm in Boston for the past 10 years. I know there are more important, meaningful things I could be doing workwise but it pays the bills. Recently divorced after 11 years of marriage - we're still on good terms but DAMN is it nice to come home sometimes to just my two eighteen-pound cats.

Name's Jerry and I live in Drumright, Oklahoma. I work at a company as a painter and apply coatings to parts of oil refineries. I am an avid hunter and shooter of anything that launches a projectile. Have 2 sons 18, and 21, and a step daughter 7. Married this time for 2 years now and loving it. 18 years to the first one. I ride one of my toys whenever I get the chance. Anyhow, here is my FZ.

Horns, no... that we can see.

BUT, he provided no photographic evidence of the absence of a tail... so the jury is still out on that one

Craig
Supervisor for Hospital Services Product Distribution site for ARC
Married about 1.5 yrs with "one in the oven". They told us at the last ultrasound that its going to a girl.:) I didn't care one way or the other as long as she's healthy.

I'm the youngest of five kids, so I'm an uncle many times over which is great! A couple of them ride dirtbikes so thats always a good time. Love the outdoors stuff like camping, fishing, snowboarding, waterski/wakeboarding....riding motorcycles(did I really have to tell ya that?). I can get sucked into a good video game and have a hard time pulling myself out of it.

I'm a very laid back, quiet guy for the most part.

Born in central Mass., grew up in upstate NY doing all the outdoors stuff, moved to Chicago for college in 2000, been here working etc. ever since.

I started working at restaurants when I was real young and eventually put myself through college as a line cook and construction worker (res. concrete sucks!). These days I've got my own office working as a tax consultant for one of the huge accounting/consulting firms.

Things I live by (off the top of my head):

"Life is short"

"work banishes the three great evils: boredom, vice, and poverty"

"there's nothing to it but to do it" haha

"what goes around comes around"

So who's got the link to the last "post your mug shot" thread?

Wavex, I love french food and wine too!

Anyway, some recent pics.......

1) putting on my 1pc at a track day in September

2) Crashing a mini on the 4th of July

3) In Mexico this August at around 3AM after a very very long wedding

4) My girlfriend (just bought her a rock today...ssshhh...no one knows yet) in Door county apple picking a month ago

Band wagon...

Hi folks, real name of Josh. I was Marine Infantry from Feb 2001-May 2005, first at Fleet Anti Terrorism Security Team (FAST) where I did two tours in Newport News VA guarding nuclear fuel, one mission to Puerto Rico, and at one point spent 48 out of 52 weeks in the year out in the field. I got paid to run, stay in shape, and blow stuff up. Along the way was sent to Designated Marksman school (like an urban sniper) Advanced Urban Combat (kicking down doors) and after I was stationed in 29 Palms, one tour to Iraq. Spent Spring Break 2004 in Fallujah. What a shithole. Came back home after being wounded, trained 3 battalions of Marines in Convoy Operations and chewed out 8 new lieutenants (boots).

After I got out, joined the local fire department to get the adrenaline rush I miss from combat, kind of fell into EMS. Almost done with Paramedic now (Spring 08) and Captain on the FD. Lost track of how many full arrests I've worked.
The FZ6 is my first bike, and I could not imagine having anything else. I love it.

Shooting is my therapy. I love the feeling when you have conquered all other things and all that matters is the shot. I'm not bad, but there are a lot who are better:

I guess the girlfriend deserves mentioning here, as well. She has stuck with me for over two years through a lot of crap and she's getting the rock as well, she just doesn't know when, and to be honest, I don't either. This is us at the 2007 Marine Corps Birthday Ball:
