Hey guys:

Went on a ride yesterday with two of my friends that started on 600ss bikes. One has an '04 CBR-600RR and the other an '05 GSX-R600.

For the guys from WA, we went on a ride on the WA side to go to Long Beach. Anyways, I just wanted to say that starting on the 250 really showed in our riding. I was kicking their asses in the twisties and both of them commented on how well my skills had developed.

I just wanted to send out a general thank you to all the riders out there that helped me start out into the sportbike world. I'm planning on selling the ninja and stepping up to the R6 that I always wanted.

Anyone else have any good stories of owning the b***** SS bikes with the "its only a 250?" ninja?

Good on ya, man. Another vote for starting out in the quarter-liter class. Way to go!

See, it does work. There may be exceptions, but riders who start on a smaller bike generally develop skills sooner. Good job. :)

I have a 250 and a cbr600 and one time i went riding with my co-worker who always says he wouldnt ride a 250, he would rather ride a pink vespa in San Fransisco. Just for kicks i took the 250 just because its fun to ride. We get to the best local road and he is slightly ahead of me for about half a turn. I countinued riding my normal pace through the area and the stop and wait for about 2 minutes until i see the head lights of his R6. He did not have anything to say, he still says he wont ride one.
