Hey All,
Just introducing myself. I just put the downpayment on my new FZ6 last week so I'm pretty excited and I figured now would be a good time to join. I rode a couple dirt bikes when I was younger... took a MSF course 2 years ago... at the time drove my buddies KLR 650 a bit on the street, and recently took my brother in laws '06 R6 for a test drive. This will be my first bike of any kind...
I'm expecting this bike to be a good all around bike for the mid to long range trips I'll use it for (75-300 km), and considering I'm only 165 lb. I assume it's got enough power to keep me happy for years as well. The R6 was almost too fast for my liking. Redline is/was 17k and past 13k it felt like my cheeks were getting pulled out of my head (jks).
I've spent a lot of time/money/skills doing work on my cars over the years, but I'm looking forward to being able to do a complete colour change for $100 worth of paint, and my car costs $1000 just to replace the tires so... looking forward to the bike instead. A little easier on gas than a V8 as well....
Cheers,
Aaron :cheers
