I just purchased a 2002 Yamaha YZF-R1 last night.

Only 5k miles.. basically stock with a damper.. got it for a very nice price of 6k :)

Never beat on.. bought from a older fella that is more into his cruisers now then his sportbike.. 55 years old young the cruiser fits him a little better.. plus he also flys stunt planes.. hahaha which is very cool.. very nice guy

Anyways.. I usually dont buy used.. but when you find a great deal.. you just have to jump on it

Here is a couple pictures.. i will have more this weekend..

And yes.. I still have the R6 in pieces here.. parting it out and selling it piece by piece.. the frame was totaled.. (yes it was a salvage title) .

Congrats man, you deserve it. Hopefully she'll treat you well.

Looks nice, I'd get rid of the extra stickers if it were mine though.

Enjoy!
First thing I am pulling off is the stickers. i am not a sticker fan :)

If they're not clear-coated on, just take a blow drier to them for a minute or two and they'll start to curl up at the corners. Then just peel and remove. Might leave a tiny bit of residue, but that cleans right up.
