Hello all,
wanted to say hello, im on my way home from the bering sea right... i am a marine engineer on one of those huge 300 ft factory trawlers... now i'm waiting to get back home to ride my red 09 1198s.... love that bike... best sportbike i have had yet!!.... this is a great site.. just found it now... been using the Ducati and other sites before... will post pics later ... looking forward to doing some riding before the weather turns... just as long as it isn't raining it will be all good cheers :beer

OP: :welcome! I went for a ride with a friend when another biker pointed us to a now retired Harley racer with a huge 2-floor garage full of old beautiful bikes that he is restoring. So we went to pay him a visit (he's running a small family cafe/restaurant in his house) and while gawking in amazement a couple of guys showed up - one was on a 1198s and the other one was on a heavily modded 996 ... that was the first time I saw these bikes in person and omfg when they started them and took off I creamed my pants :drool

What I'm trying to say here is "awesome bike dude"
