I think I read in cycleworld that there is a huge import tax into India on Japanese sportbikes and that Busas cost an equivalent of something like $30K

Welcome Chinmay. Yeah, the tax on imported bikes is huge, unless you import it in Knocked Down condition. I knew a mechanic in Bombay who made a good living out of importing bikes and then putting them together. He once put a Busa together in 7 hours from opening the boxes to first firing.

damm cost of bikes in India

He had a busa in that movie. That made me buy one. How much do these cost over there? 20 lacs?
The busa which was used in John's movie belongs to my city. The provider did give these all the motos for the movie...But all are hidden now...lol..

busa is costing not less than 14Lacs in India....Well but all the illegal bikes ( illegal=custom is not paid) are seized by Indian government and wot ever left in here they are hidden....
coz the import duty is near to 100% of the main cost...but i still want to work on SBK's

In places like pakistan and india bike displacement bikes are somewhat rare. As a matter of fact its hard to see anything over 500cc (whether its a cruiser or a sportbike). Do you see big displacement bikes there on a regular basis, Chinmay?
