Just picked up this klx250sf for my son and I , Now for some mods, any suggestion ?

Nice ride! Take out that 250 and put in a 650 just kidding. I read that the bike mags like that one. Congrats.

Start with the basics and uncork it. Aftermarket air filter, jet kit, full exhaust, get that little 250 breathin and have some pep.

Bike handles great and purrs along at 65mph, top speed so far 80mph

Its a good start. Very reliable engine. Im sure after those mods you may be able to go up a tooth in the front for better highway manners, however if its your town/backroad warrior i wouldnt touch the gearing unless i wanted some nice accel by either droppin a tooth in the front or adding 1 or 2 in the rear. Gearing alters the way that the bike's power feels substantially and for cheap!
