Need some comp help.

I had downloaded some bike vids, didnt click "save as" on them, and now I want to watch them again and not want to go find them in the internet. Do they automatically save somewhere on my harddrive? If so where would I find them?

Thanks.

Look in your Temporary Internet file folder. There is also a 'Temp' file folder it may be in, if not in the previously mentioned one.
First, close your browser and reopen it...make sure you clear your cache....go to any link that will let you download something and right click and save as...that will pull up your default save location...go there through windows explorer and see if it's there...otherwise try doing a search on your C drive for movie files
I had a minute to check. If it is a movie file you played with Windows MediaPlayer - it is located in your C://Windows/Temp file. If you have Windows XP, the location is slightly modified to - C://Documents and Settings/yourloginname/Temp.
The only thing is, if you just chose to "Open" when the microsoft window came up, this file that you find will actually only be a web page that will then again bring up this window to either "Open" or "Save" Once you choose "Save" then you can choose your location and it will be all yours...kind of confusing, let me know if I need to be more specific.

Yeah, just select START, Search, and type 'Temp'. When you see the folder, select it and inside you should find your .wav, etc file (as long as you remember part of the name it will be easier to open the Temp file and then depress 'Ctrl + F' (item FIND) and type in the part you remember. Every instance of the word(s) you input will be displayed and you can choose the next iteration by depressing ENTER.
