Just make sure they fit good and have good shin/ankle protection. Also watch the closing system some are rather suspect to breaking easily.

Remember as with most stuff you get what you paid for. If you plan on doing hardcore riding get boots worthy of your riding style. Also the sole is important, motocross boots are smooth soled and are total crap for muddy get off and push type riding....

My Dad is wearing the Thor Quadrants and has no complaints.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from the O'Neals. From what I've seen they are very poor quality.
