hey fellas ... i got a radar detector for my bike but im having a problem figuring out where to hard wire it into ... i have an 06 R1 and i know it has an accesory outlet but i need a picture to make sure im not screwing something up ... plus i have laser jammers to put on ... where am i goin to tie all this crap in ? it sure aint a goldwing ... if i tie into another circuit like my auxilary lights will i overload that circuit .. thanks ... oh by the way my manual doesnt have any help in it either ...

I think You can find any wire that's powered when the key is in ON position using a volt-meter. Use this wire for the radar and jammer - they don't take too much electricity - hardly 1 - 2 Watt.

On the side note, I've been using cordless radar detector for years - two AA batteries last for good 30 - 40 hours of riding (that's cordless from Belltronics).

Why not just hook up directly to the battery? A radar detector doesn't pull much current so if you forgot to turn it off, no big deal..........unless you leave it on for a week.
