So they had a sale going on last week, and I broke down and ordered one. There are enough bikes in the garage now that it was starting to make more sense, and I've got a ton of friends on the local forum who were dying for someone to break down and buy it.
I went for the Classic, cause I figured just because having the capability was the important point to me. I don't need the ultra-heavy-duty industrial sized version just for my garage. Plus I wanted to take up as little room as possible in the garage.
Well I gotta say: HOLY CRAP. I can't imagine why anybody would need a sturdier one just for their garage. Disturbingly stout with a really nice texturized finish. Unboxed it and put it all together in under 30 min. They have a complete assembly vid on their website, but you can put it together pretty easily from a single breakout illustration that packs in the box. There's a DVD included too with all the vids on the website, but the assembly instructions on the disc seemed to be from an older (different) version. Oh well.
I went for the Ultimate package too, that way I got the balancer and all that stuff. The balancer feels a little lighter weight than the rest of the machine, but I'm sure will do the job just fine. They also wanted to charge an extra $85 to get the large cones so I could balance the 1098 rear wheel. But the small and medium cones come in the box and should fit most wheels.
I haven't changed a tire with it yet, but I'm definitely satisfied with the purchase so far.
