My Next Bike

Isn't she a beauty?!

I heard around the Nurburgring track in Germany it beat a stock '04 R1 by 25 seconds!!! On the straights it left the R1 in the dust...the problem with the R1 is that the wheelbase is short with tons of hp at the rear wheel...the front end kept pointing towards the sky! Going to convert my Gixxer to pure track machine and this will be my street machine...

Oh yeah, how do you post a pic within the thread?

that bike is pretty sweet looking, and i like the goodies that are on it, like one sided swing-arm and 170HP!! and i don't know what you guys are thinking, but BMWs have unbelieveable reliability
i like it i dont think i would own one but they have there place
The actual HP figures are looking like something between 160-168. At the rear wheel 140-150?

7:49 for the 20.8 KM of Nürburgring
ok, and its gonna cost a gagillion dollars. You could probably buy a BUSA AND a ZX-12R for that price.

here's a joke. What's the difference between a BMW car and a porcupine?

scroll..

The porcupine has the pricks on the outside.
reading from the bmw website, that bike is going for 16-17k...

seems like noone is laughing at your jokes either :barf
ive seen a CBR 1000 with 105k mile on it. the owner says no major problems with it. so yes a Jap bike can last long. and the owner does many track days with it

First of all, you can go f**K yourself and all your BMW riding buddies.

Secondly, you are assuming that all the japanese are just gonna sit there and do nothing. Don't forget that honda has a new blackbird in the works and the busa and zx-12 are both due for an update.
you expect to say something as ignorant as you did and there be no response?? well what if you posted your next quacker and someone says to get you and your team green peice of shit off their monitor. wtf is your problem anyway?? stop being a schmucktoid and grow up a little.
Being a fan of the "sport tourer" bikes, it definitely looks awesome. Front suspension sounds very trick too. Just don't think I would pay $17k for a bike though. People are being very short-sighted to write it off because it is a BMW. Just look at the M3 if you think they don't know speed and handling. That thing friggin rips and would kick most any Jap sport car's ass in whatever category you compare. Especially price.

BMWs suck.. their riders are a bunch of stuck up snobs. Worst than the Harley type.

bwahaha.....funny pic, right clic "save-as" :admin4
Wow some people's reactions to this bike and its claimns are like me into an ultra conservative republican meeting and showing them a bootleg copy of farenheit 9/11.

I think its a sweet bike, maybe I can convince my dad to get one.

I think the R1100S is a great bike. I love watching the boxer cup, it's all about the rider in that series. My brother has one and I've ridden it a few times and the suspension and brakes are incredible on that machine. The only thing he wishes is that it was a little noisier...I would definitely take it off his hands if he was selling.... :) Here is a few pics...

That is an nice looking bike. I personally have no need for a bike of this class, but if I did I would definitely consider this. I agree with the other poster that the R1100s is cool looking.
sounds like someone is taking the thread a little too seriously...
nice R1100s btw, sounds like it would make a great everyday bike to have
