biggest generalization I've heard all day. Just because it's not a cookie cutter bike, doesn't mean it sucks. But whatever, ignorance is bliss. Also, I don't think that BMW is an "ass-kicker", it's a good bike, but put the R1 at shorter track and the BMW won't have a 25 sec lead. I heard around the Nurburgring track in Germany it beat a stock '04 R1 by 25 seconds!!! On the straights it left the R1 in the dust...the problem with the R1 is that the wheelbase is short with tons of hp at the rear wheel...the front end kept pointing towards the sky! Going to convert my Gixxer to pure track machine and this will be my street machine...
