Isn't she a beauty?!

I heard around the Nurburgring track in Germany it beat a stock '04 R1 by 25 seconds!!! On the straights it left the R1 in the dust...the problem with the R1 is that the wheelbase is short with tons of hp at the rear wheel...the front end kept pointing towards the sky! Going to convert my Gixxer to pure track machine and this will be my street machine...

Oh yeah, how do you post a pic within the thread?

I guess you're not a BMW fan. :twofinger No joke...I want a machine that is shaft drive (no chain maintenance), fast, comfortable and that can put on hard bags and where the engine will last 200,000 plus miles....I saw a RT that I thought was brand new and it had over 160,000km. Nothing against Japanese bikes because I love them too, but I just don't think they are as durable...
I can believe the 25 second gap...remember that track is 21km long, on a regular 5km track, I'm sure the R1 would win, but this one is suited for this machine. It had a lap time of just under 8 minutes I believe at that circuit...
I agree, I may have been a little harsh with the durability statement but I'm not sure how my Gixxer would look after 160,000km!?

it's all the rider.......i'd like the BMW, ever heard of the boxer cup?
I think the R1100S is a great bike. I love watching the boxer cup, it's all about the rider in that series. My brother has one and I've ridden it a few times and the suspension and brakes are incredible on that machine. The only thing he wishes is that it was a little noisier...I would definitely take it off his hands if he was selling.... :) Here is a few pics...
