i was thinking about getting one. How does it fit on your head? Does the OGK large fit like a Shoei large (if you happen to know, anyway)?

Also, how does the OGK compare in terms of external dimensions to shoeis and arais?

I'm not sure if these are questions you can answer, but I figured I might as well ask.

Yeah I cant answer any of those questions. I upgraded from a junk HJC helmet and it feels much better than that. I just used the measurments on their site to pick which size I needed. I know the size was the exact same as my HJC helmet. I expected that I might have to send the helmet back to get another size, but to my surprise it fit great. It rained all day yesterday so I still have yet to test it.

OGK FF4's tend to fit narrower heads well, much like the Arai Signet line (oval). Also, they are slightly tighter fitting due to the fact that they are constructed using only 2 shell sizes (unlike other manufacturers who will use 3 shell sizes). A large Shoei will fit much looser than a comparable OGK large, taking into account the shell shape and your head shape. You will notice less frontal profile on the FF4 compared to something like a Shoei RF 1000 or X-11, and especially an Arai Corsair. My medium FF4 is noticeably smaller in size to my FF3's, X11's, and Corsairs/RX7RR's.

I've read a lot of comments on FF4 fitment suggesting this helmet sizes smaller compared to other helmets. Comparing my arai rx7 corsair large, the FF4 large felt a size larger. The arai feels very snug where as the FF4 felt borderline loose. This could be due to just the padding and liner so I ordered some thicker liners and cheekpads.
I suppose there is a possibly my head shape fits better into the FF4.
I know the rx7 corsair is not supposed to be a heavy helmet, but the FF4 made my head feel almost naked the first time I went out riding in it.
