Okay, I'll start from the beginning..

The other day I took the bike out for a little spin. When I came home I pulled her into the backyard to park. As I was slowing down to stop, it happened. The back tire slid out to the right, I paniced, and she dropped. Thankfully, I picked her up and there was no cosmetic damage. I'm not sure if this event plays a part or not.

A couple days later I go outside, planning on going for a ride. Remembering that I needed gas and really didn't feel like stopping at the gas station, I grabbed a can out of the shed and put some in her. When I tried firing up the bike, it wouldn't start. I assumed the battery was dead because all I heard was a rapid clicking noise when I pushed the start button.

So today I put the battery on a charger for a little bit and threw it back in. This time, it started up, but was very "put-put". After a few seconds, it died. My dad was present when this happened and informed me that the gas I put in had been sitting in the shed for quite some time and may have accumulated moisture, explaining why it may have been "put-put". I tried putting good gas in it but it still wouldn't start. A couple times, it sounded like it wanted to start but it just didn't. I tried jump starting the battery with my truck (thinking that it might still be the battery) but to no avail.

I also did the whole "hold the throttle open while starting" trick incase it was flooded, which did nothing.

I don't know what else to do. Someone please help.

is the bike carb'd? i think so, so i'll assume it is:

check your oil. there may be gas in it, or you may have gas flooded into the carbs beyond where it will start, no matter what. you may have to clean out the float bowls or something.

it's also possible that the plugs have been fouled all the hell. Check one of the, out- it sounds like that i probably it.

relax, though- chances are everyhing is fine, a lot of times when a bike is on its side, fluids get where they're not supposed to go. not a big deal, really- just takes a little time to figure it out.

you might have a vapor lock but I doubt it. You might try opening the gas tank and leave it open and roll the bike forward and hit the brakes try this a couple of times and maybe if you are lucky this will solve the problem.

listen to your dad.. drain the tank, but also drain the carbs. i bet the new gas hasn't gotten to the carbs yet. You may have to clean out the bowls, but you might get lucky. Stick some carb cleaner in the gas as well. Seafoam or Berryman's work great.

start with the easy stuff..
