I'm exhausted still have tomorrow left, but OMG. I think I almost went into heat stroke, Tomorrow I'm just taking my gloves boots helmet and just a long sleeve shirt and leaving the jacket out of it. But Tomorrow after I get out I'll post my final thoughts on the entire experience...but I'm still like out of it, a lot of the students were soaked in their own sweat and I was having a hard time breathing...got tomorrow to think of....

maybe i'm paranoid but i wore all my gear and was hot as shit. Second day i even when i knew iw as going to be hot as shit i still wore it all. I just made sure my helmet was cracked (makes a huge difference!) during riding, and on brakes i unzipped my jacket, took my gloves and helmet and got as much air flow as i could. You're going to have to ride with your gear all the time.... might as well get used to it!!

Have fun out there! My MSF is what got me hooooooooked on riding! ENJOY!!! :)

at my MSF class it was the same way, and it was humid as hell [georgia summers] and i rode with jacket open, and my visor off [i took it off cause i thought just having it all the way open looked dumb lol] and wore sunglasses underneath.

I took the BRC in the mid July heat in Texas. We were told to wear the bare minimum because we would not be going fast enough to even use mesh jackets. Gloves, boots, long sleeves, helmet, and long pants. I still just about passed out. I vowed never to take another summer training course again....Got another one coming up next weekend :)
My BRC was a lot of fun.

I took mine last month in some of the worst Texas heat on top of a huge black asphalt parking lot. Luckily, they rescheduled us for 6AM rather than 9AM and did the riding in the morning to spare us some of the heat exhaustion. Remember to drink water every hour even if you don't "feel" thirsty. By the end of the weekend (and pending your exam) you realize it was all worth it!

Yea I took mine during the summer texas heat. OH BOY. just think thou you will never experience that again unless you ride to work and sit in bumper to bumper traffic. Which i do.......

But i was class B so yea we drove from 12-5 sat and sun. I was a burned lobster even wearing a light jacket and helmet. it took 2 weeks to get back on the bike due to such a bad sunburn.

So yea if they ask if you want sunscreen TAKE IT!!!! and drink as much as you can as often as they allow.

My two MSF days were well into the 90's and humid as hell. I've never sweated so much in my life and probably never will. Even now when I wear full gear including a black helmet and black leather jacket and boots I don't sweat as much. But when they kept stopping me to show the next drill or I was waiting in line for my turn, I was baking.

Oh, and I was only wearing jeans, long sleeve T, hiking boots, cheap (and sweaty) work gloves, and my helmet with the visor wide open at all times. No jacket. I even pulled up the sleeves on my shirt, which the instructors didn't care for.

No thanks, never again.

I took mine last summer in the middle of July, 100 degree afternoons for the riding portion. First day I sweated my ass off wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. Second day, I wore lightweight hiking pants and a light thermal for the long sleeves. Woulda hurt like hell if I'd gone down, but I was cooler than most everyone else.

Our guys also had an ice chest full of bottled water and gatorade and made us drink at least one bottle of something every time we took a break.

I got the worst headache after the first day of the class ... and I've had quiet a few bad hangovers before. Unfortunately there's not a whole lot you can do. If the sun is out you're screwed.
