Justin was at the mall in Cary yesterday and when he came back to his bike he had a note on it and some jail bait walking off from the general vicinity. The note was stuck to the gas tank with duck tape and said: Motorcycles are hot. Be my boyfriend. Hearts and Stars, Emily 919-783-0433 xoxo.

FYI the original, and more proper term is duck tape, not duct tape. It was called such shortly after its development in WWII because of it's waterproof nature. The Duct Tape name didnt come about untill much later as a marketing effort.

All I know is DUCK is a brand.....duct is what it's for.

Its similar to when people reffer to any adjustable wrench as a cresent wrench, or any pair of tounge and groove pliers channel locks.

Yeah... one of the major brands of tapes, Manco, has the term Duck Tape trademarked. So either duct tape or Duck Tape is correct. It absolutely sucks for taping ducts, though- it comes off in no time at all.... speaking of which, i have a duct that needs taping. I turned on the A/C yesterday and it's all going into the damned hall closet again....

How do i know this? I'm kind of a freak. Plus, i have a scary good memory and worked in a hardware store for three years....
