Ok, folks. 2 races left. 50 points up for grabs. Marquez is the champion and doesn't have to do Jack Sh*t but he'll still be up front making things interesting. As for the others, Rossi is now in 2nd place in points with 255. He's 8 points ahead of Lorenzo and 25 points ahead of Pedrosa.

So, let the tension begin :)

The session was red-flagged with just a minute or so left when Pol Espargaro suffered a suspected engine failure as he entered turn one. Espargaro looked to possibly have fluid leaking from his bike on the previous lap and was snapped into the air when he entered turn one. Espargaro was sent tumbling, and slammed onto the track with terrific force. He did not get up after the crash, although he looked to be moving his upper extremities.

Tech 3 is reporting that Pol broke his left foot in the crash.

Oh crap, you're right. Oh well, warm up it is then! Would have figured it out, since I watch it all anyway. I'll watch the race when I wake up.

And that is actually pretty cool then, I thought it meant 03:30 on Sunday night/Monday morning, but this is going to be televised live, apparently?

Repsol Honda's Marquez Wins Sepang MotoGP
Pedrosa Crashes, Crutchlow Stops With Mechanical

Dry race.

Margin of victory: 2.45

Dani Pedrosa, Bautista, Nick Hayden and Aleix Espargaro all crashed out unhurt. Pedrosa, the race win favorite in some opinions, actually crashed twice in the race. Cal Crutchlow stopped with mechanical issues. Andrea Dovizioso ran in the top five for most of the race then dropped back dramatically as the race wore on.

A torrid battle for the win between Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez was won by Marquez. Lorenzo had the early lead and held it through mid-race but he dropped back slightly possibly with an issue with his front tire choice. Rossi took the lead briefly but then Marquez came past and then ground out several fast laps, sealing Rossi's fate.

Marquez's win equaled Doohan's season-long win record (12) and gave Honda the constructor's championship.

The season's last GP, at Valencia, is in two weeks.
