Well, the owner of the Motard can run 1:22's. I don't figure Lee can run 1:25's on his first trip down there and since I'm a few seconds quicker than my buddy I'm guessing maybe 1:20's on a dirt bike with a fugged up shift pattern.

Lee, I wouldn't expect better than 1:23's, 1:24's are more likely. Clay, Mike, and I are all longtime street riders, and that was about what we did our first time each.

It took me all season to get down to 1:19's which were my last recorded times; I think I'm down to 1:17's now, though I need a laptimer to show it. I haven't had one last two TD's. Phil will scoff at me, because he can still pass me (and I was on a 10R last time), but I think it's about right based on who I'm passing and who isn't passing me.

And Lee, keep this in mind. Arroyo is NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING like MAM or HTP. My first time at MAM by the third session I was running 42's in practice. The races the next day were mid 39's. Last year on the same bike times were low 38's. I think your times were 58's right?

20's will be tough for the first time. Ask Faster Sissy. He struggled with the track because of how technical it is. My first time there I only ran 20's on my bone stock 99 r6 and that was only because Roger came out and helped me.

killed me to do a 17 at arroyo , i think another day or 2 on a bike that i dont care if i crash (mine) and some luck i could hit 15's

So I don't think a goal of 20's is unreachable at all.
