Nice bike, but I'd still rather have an RC51

I like it. Reminds me of that Gilera 600 that I wanted a few years ago. All of the extras seem pretty cool too - stands, track time, factory tour, airfare, etc. Afterwards, you can't help but be a part of their extended family. As with all exotics, you're paying for exclusivity...

Correction..

I think the price is USD$32K. The bike is a far cry from an RC51, the only important thing that is the same is the powerplant - SP2. The rest is totally proprietary. Dripping with HRC race components and CNC bits, variable geometry, rearsets, Ohlins, Marchesini... Besides for that price you're getting a whole package, trip to factory, track days etc. Compare that to a 999R..err 30K Euro? I couldn't afford it but I might get the Piega.

I got this from a reliable source:
145 RWHP Honda SP2 engine
magnesium engine covers
fully adjustable steering head
dry clutchÊSTM
new type radiators HRC alloy- including expansion tank
stainless exhaust
carbon body kit
shorter seat
big tank in alloy
adjustable rearset kit
radial brakes
radial pump master cylinders
ohlins front and rear including steering damper
forged wheels, billet triple clamps
ergal brake lines, ergal fittings
all alloy CNC machined frame components.

Shame....40k and it's only go a Honda motor......that sucks.
I don't understand why anybody would consider that to be a problem. It's a great engine, what's the point in reinventing the wheel for a 100 bike production run?

If you bought an RC51 and installed all the go fast bits that this thing has on it you'd probably spend just as much money, if not more.
