Lowside impact--skewed bar limiter?

916 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  70115
Hi, I recently lowsided at 35mph onto the left side.. It was a pretty substantial impact and on top of my concussion, I have to deal with the damage to my bike..

So since I am new to bikes in general I was hoping I could get some advice on what to do..

Here are some cockpit shots with the bars at full lock left and right.. It seems the trapezoidal piece that controls the range of motion has shifted from impact..

Is there any way to fix this?

Any input would be much appreciated!

EDIT: I just found out the part in question is the "steering stop"

The steering stop is attached to the frame so it cant move. My guess is your forks tweaked from the impact. Loosen it all up and try to set it back in its place.
Unless a part of the steering stop broke off, i dont think its the steering stop that moved.
