Is it possible to lower the rear suspension on the FZ-6?
On my FZ-1 I can just replace the "dogbones" with shorter ones, but the FZ-6 doesnt have the same style suspension.

Lowering the rear is a bit more of a challenge. From what I heard, it requires a new shock.

You are correct. You have to replace the rear shock. The reason being is that most other bikes have a linkage suspension where as the FZ-6 is not. That is where the dogbones come into play.

If you do a search for "lowering" there are a few threads about this. One of them might have a link to Wilbers (and maybe others) who makes a shock with adjustable ride height. Probably some info about shaving the seat, too.
