Depends on how hard you corner. You can lower them to 2" off the ground if you're willing to ride it like a chopper. :D

Seriously, that's your limiting factor -- at what point your pegs drag on the ground given the riding that you do.

If you're tall enough for it not to be a problem, you might go the other way and think about raising/padding the seat an inch or two instead.

I just ride for fun no racing i'm 40 and just like to cruise around town hang with buddies.Do I need some rear sets or somethign special to lower them. 2" would be enough
"Rearsets" generally do the opposite of what you are wanting -- they bring the pegs up and back, creating a *more* acute leg angle for *increased* cornering clearance.

You'll probably just have to find a local machinist and have him make you a couple of adapter plates to relocate the pegs. You will also have to reposition your brake and shift levers (at a minimum) and may have to find or make some that are a different length to fit where your pegs move to.
