Get good bike/life insurance. :twofinger

Na, I wouldn't clutch it up until you get used to it being up. Roll it on to about 7,000 then let off then snap it again. If it comes up to high just let off and the engine will bring it back down.

dont listen to this scrub, he cant wheelie worth a damn. :blowme :asshole :)

anyway, learn to power up in first gear, if your bike will not power it up then start clutchin. start w/ lower rpm's and gradually increase the rpm till you get the results your looking for.

I can do both but prefer 1st gear clutches. I'll start off and give it some throttle, slip the clutch then give more throttle as I re-engage the clutch fully. This gives lots of RPM left to play with... but I'm sick of 1st gear wheelies when my buddies are doing 2nd/3rd/and sometimes 4th gears all over the highway.

I knew a cat with a 99 600r and he couldn't power up. Don't know if he didn't have the technique down, but clutching in first is no big deal (I prefer not to clutch).
