Ok so I have a little problem. The bike I am going to buy is about 50 miles away. My two choices are to ride it home (YIKES! HWY RIDING THE FIRST DAY!) or load it in the back of my brother's pickup truck (ford ranger so it isn't huge). Anyway I was wondering if there was a cheap way to go about the loading it in the truck. I really don't want to go buy a ramp and stuff so any suggestions will be appreciated!!!

Get two other guys and pick it up. ;)
I am thinking there may be some better tricks to doing this. Eh, it looks like I may have to learn to ride my new bike it a couple minutes and get brave (or stupid) enough to ride it home. Please when someone passes me, scrape my dead body off the road and call my parents.

Originally he was gonna drop it off at my house, but it turns out he doesn't have to come in town. He had it in the back of his truck when I saw it the first time, so I am sure he knows how to load it. I will probably get it some time this week andmy gear will arrive on monday, so at last I will have a bike. Oh uyeah and incase you were wondering I am the idiot that went against everyone's advice and instead of getting a 250 I am getting a 1999 cbr600f4. Well it was all I could find around here (in like a 250 mile range) in my price range.

I got a cbr f4 and took it on the freeway my first day. As long as your not doing nasty turns at high speeds you'll be fine. Just pick it up early in the moring. Fill it up with a lot of gas. Ride it for an hour. Then check you tires air and hit the highway. IF all else you can just go at slow speed until you get use to it. As long as you remember to weight the high or outside peg in a long turn and press on the opposite sied of the bar you'll be fine. Just be confident in yourself! Have someone follow you!

Well there is already three of you. Your brother, yourself, and the seller. Just have the seller stand in the bed of the pick-up. Then you and your brother lift the front wheel onto the bed. The guy inside just holds the bike steady then you and your brother can pick the back up and wheel it in. I've done this and it is easy and fast. I've had my bike in my sister's boyfriend's dakota before and it was a 4 doors with a shorter bed than normal and it fit inside the bed diagnallly so it should fit in a ranger.
