Hey everyone. Hopefully one of you can help me out. I tried to change the boot order of my computer earlier, and it corrupted the wondows partition, which had many important files on it for work. I was able to transfer those file onto my Linux partition (suse 9.0). When i reinstalled windows, you guessed it, it killed the Linux boot. Does anyone know how to access the Linux partition now, i cant boot to it, but i wont erase it because my files are there. Can i use a startup disk or anything, or reinstall Linux as a repair and not a full install? any ideas would be incredibly appreciated!!!

What are you using as a boot manager? If it's lilo try any of the emergency linux boot disks and re-run Lilo. You can use any of the cd based rescue disks or this floppy based one you can find here. http://www.toms.net/rb/
