are certain? like wiped it off and then it appeared again, if so you have a damaged o-ring. you're supposed to lube them when you re-instal it. have you had the forks apart?

Wait, cap bolt? You mean the big one on top or the small one on the bottom?

If its the one on top, why the heck is oil up there? If its the one on the bottom, there is just a copper crush ring on it, you might just be able to tighten it down.

top one for sure. Never had them apart, nor have i dropped a wheelie too hard.
The fork is wet with oil between the triple trees.

I know what I have to do to fix it, just wondering if anyone else had the issue before.

The seal on mine was leaking when I bought it. Watch out because it'll make its way down to your front brakes.
