Not sure if anyone commutes back to CA often but if you do and you take the Searchlight exit to the Kelso / Cima backroad back to the CA high desert (yucca valley / 29 palms) watch out!
The BLM has turned that road into a government ATM machine and they are nailing people every night. The speed limit out there is 55mph and because it's a National Preserve the ticket is a Federal District Court fine of $250.00. They got me in my truck a few months ago and when the ranger told me I was going too fast I looked out my window both ways then looked at him bewildered and said, "There's absolutely nobody else on this road" I got the standard have a nice day and he put my citation in his quota cookie jar. :urowned
Anyway its the Searchlight exit to Ivanpah to Cima to Kelso to Amboy Road. You know it if you drive it.
