I went to check out a 95 Katana 750 tonight,

Had someone test drive it as I dont have my license yet...

Bike hasn't run i a while, owner says it's due for a tune up and spark plug change.

2 things were observed...

Idle is low, you have to "hold it" when stopping or else the engine will stop.

When giving it gas, it seems to take a moment before it reacts and it seems to "miss" a little also (it's not knocking or mechanical, seems like gas or plug related)

Does this make sense to some people here? I want to know if it's worth buying and doing a decent tune up on... The bike is otherwise in very good condition and price is ok. I just dont want to buy problems as a first bike...

Thanks !!!

Marc

All i can think of is bad gas if it been sitting for a while. Might just need good gas and a carb cleaning. Don't take my word for it though. Have you tried asking around in the help me fix it thread?
