Here you go guys, i'm sure most of you already know.. but if you ever need any parts for your bike, if you lay it down etc.. dont go to the dealer, please i beg you..

I layed mine down last week and i wanted to get it back up asap so i took it to the dealer for repairs and they gave me an estimate of about a grand, 650 bucks in parts...

Well i found a site, www.powersportsnetwork.com that sells oem parts.. and i prolly shouldnt have done it coz i hate myself now, but i went and got a copy of my estimate with part numbers and priced it out on that site, and shipped all the parts would have been 450 bucks... most of this im sure i could do myself... but this is my first bike and you live and learn.... we all took our first cars to the shop when they needed work right?

Don't get too down on yourself about this crap. You've got lots of options. !) Buy the parts on line and bring them in to dealer. 2) Try to replace the parts which are easy, like fairing bits, bar-ends, etc. Or just eat the $200 and chalk it up to learning experience. If I had a dime (or a bullet) for every time I got swindled by some crooked fxxx'er, I'd either be rich or in prison by now. Just take it easy and remember that you don't have to commit to anything right away... Give yourself the time and space to look at all the options. Good luck getting back up on your bike soon. The Fizzer's a great one and I hope to ride mine for a long time to come.

Hell, my first car cost $200. I did all the work myself. It wasn't worth paying someone to do it.

2nd car cost $400. I did MOST of the work myself. Again, not worth paying someone to do it.

3rd car cost $2000. I did most of the work myself. I was a poor college student and couldn't afford to pay someone to do it.

4th car cost $12k. I did most of the work myself. I was too cheap to pay someone to do it.

5th car cost $16k. I haven't had to do any work to it yet, but I'll do most of it myself because I like doing that stuff, and I refuse to pay someone to do something that I can do in my driveway.

So...yeah...I would have tried to fix it myself first.
