I had some friends in town for the 4th of July. Two of them trailered their bikes so we could ride together while they were here. My friend from Wisconsin has a 2005 honda 1000 CBR, and my friend from Missouri has a Honda 2001 RC-51. It was kind of cool that between the three bikes we represented a 4-cylinder, a V-twin and a three cylinder. Each bike is very different with the Honda 1000 being the most track specific bike, you really sit over the front tank in a manner where you and the gas tank become intimate. The RC isn't much different except the foot pegs are not set quite as high so it is just a little bit more comfortable. (Keep in mind I am 6'3' so comfort is relative to the specific rider). The RC is really fun to ride in corners and wide sweeping access ramps, the V-twin roars and really pulls strong. Both of my friends admitted that after riding my Sprint ST that they loved it's comfort compared to their bikes.
