I don't know of any, of course, i've only purchased 1 bike. But I do know there's a sticky on this forum somewhere about purchasing a used bike. They are so small, and just about everything is out in the open, you should be able to look over it and see any major damage.
Bwahahahaha. The timing of this post is remarkable.
I don't think that I have ever heard of any type of "carfax for motorcycles." The best thing to do is check to see if he has serviced his bike as per the manual, and to make sure he hasn't raced/stunted/wrecked his bike, which can be found out two ways. 1. by simply asking him. and 2. by noticing how the bike looks and what has been done to it.
carfax reports are gathered through data given to the dmv and since a motorcycle is registered throught the dmv, then i see no reason you could not use it. Wont help if he didnt make a claim through his insurance agency.
carfax reports shows when it was bought, sold, or insurance claim was made. Atleast thats what i remember from when i bought a car a few years ago.
got the bike, it looks great, everything seems fine. Didn't do a carfax check though.
it's an 06 with 550 miles... couldn't have had TOO much happen in that span of time (i hope). Been putting around my neighborhood the last couple days. Might head out and try while there are cars out next week
What do you guys think about this bike in comparrison to a ninja 500r? The one I am looking at is a 1992 with 8000 miles for $1700, and it looks pretty good. Should I stay away from it since it is pretty old, or will it run fine?
It looks like this
I've been away from riding since 2009, when I had a 2005 GSXR 600. I'm looking to get another bike, probably a year or 2 old, unless there's a really good reason to buy brand new, and am thinking a 750 or 1000.
Can anyone out there give recommendations as to brands and bike sizes...
I am getting a bike this spring and am worried that because of my height it will be hard to find a bike will fit me ok. I have sat on bikes and they all feel ok but my knees feel a little to far up. I am wondering what sportbikes out there are better or worse for taller riders. I am looking for...
Hello all, long time member but haven't been active in quite a few years. I ended up not going the sport bike route initially. I've been riding a 2003 883 sportster for the last 2 years and have the urge for a sport bike again.
I know the consensus has always been no 600 Supersport for new...
Hi all, I'm new to SBN as this is my first post. I've spent lots of time reading about what I should buy for my first new bike and decided on Ninja 500R. The loan paperwork has gone through and I'm supposed to pick it up on tuesday.
I'm planning on taking the MSF course when they offer it...
