Whats up guys, I was looking at a few websites and came across Lockhart Phillips. Website is pretty crappy. Dont know the quality of the products. It looks like a bunch of EBay stuff. Is it? Anybody use their stuff?

LP has been around forever and sell both good and bad* stuff. If you place an order and the item is in stock They are as good as anybody out there. Communication on back orders is a bit lacking and IME should be avoided.

* A lot or the "ebay" or cheap stuff was cutting edge when first produced by LP. Times and products change, but LP still lists the same old stuff they did 15-20 years ago. It was considered good enough back then, but our standards and expectations have risen considerably.

I ordered somethings I needed from them a few years ago when I was running a shop and fixing up one of my bikes. I called and placed the order and was told all was in stock and it would go out that day. A few days later and the order comes in and half the stuff is back ordered so I call and was told that yes the other items were on back order and would be sent out when they got in. A few more days and I get a call from them telling me that it has been 6 months since I had ordered anything from them and if I did not order something in the next day or 2 we would be dropped as a dealer. I told them that I had just got an order and that half was on back order. Her reply was ok and then she hung up. I never did hear from them again or did I ever get my back ordered stuff either. I guess they canceled us as a dealer and saw no reason to send the other items. Piss poor way to run a business but one that seems to be getting more and more common these days.

+1. Back in the day they were one of the best companies around. The backorder situation over there is nothing I'd want to experience again but as long as they have the product in stock, it's usually pretty good quality.

Lot of their stuff is junk. They're the JC Whitney of motorcycle parts.

Actually, I think JC Whitney sells motorcycle parts now, too.

Let's say, they're the Harbor Freight of motorcycle parts. Stuff works fine for a while, but it's not top quality stuff.
