Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows - Home Page

I stopped by the local Honda stealer last weekend and one of the salescritters claimed that the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show, scheduled to hit DC next January, had been cancelled.

Anyone else read or hear rumors to that effect?

if it was the 1000+ $3 dollar coupons off I have would be useless. I know the marketing manager behind the show and believe its on and getting b*****

It wouldnt make a difference to me.

I went to the IMS in NYC earlier this year and I was not impressed. It was more fun fucking around with stuff.

I wont be going to future shows.

went last year. was ok.

will go again if the temps are decent, usually its -10.

last year was 40

I could care less since it's not coming anywhere near me. I guess it doesn't matter since everything tends to find it's way to daytona. Oh well.

The tour is not cancelled. I would not be surprised if the DC show was cancelled. It always seems to be poorly attended.

That said, manufacturers have started picking and choosing shows. Maybe he meant that Honda wouldn't be at the DC show.

The show is a key part of their brand extension strategy, to which they've recommitted recently by firing the Editor and replacing him with a brand extension specialist.
