Well folks, after pulling 12-16 hour shifts since Friday night I've FINALLY got a chance to sit at my desk and do something normal for a minute. Of course, that minute includes stopping by SBN real quick. I wanted to share a photo that is kind of cool to me.
Here's the story:
In the middle of downtown Bartow, next to the Fire/Police station and across from the courthouse, is an abandoned water tower. Well, when the hurricane came blowing through Friday night it ripped the top of the tower off. Sitting on top of the tower is a 15-20 foot steel rod that held our radio antennas. That pole, pictured below, is now driven probably 4-5 into the concrete. The guys from the Fire Dept all tried to pull it out and it doesn't even BUDGE! Now that's some power! The coolest part is the flag hung at the top by the FD boys.
