I'm kind of looking to get a naked bike (like an SV650 or a Monster 620) and I was wondering how the insurance is on these types of bikes? I am a 21 y/o male in college, and I haven't had a ticket since I was 17. When I was 18, I had an '03 R6, and I remember that liability was pretty bad, but I haven't had a bike for almost 2 years now (sold it after I came to school) so I am wondering how the insurance rates would compare?

It will depend on the insurance company. State Farm goes by engine displacement only and age of the bike. Other companies put different models into different categories. Your R6 would be much more than a 650 or a Monster. Your personal situation (age, driving record, location, credit score, etc.) will also determine rates. The best thing to do is to quote different bikes with your current agent and/or get quotes from different companies on the models you're considering.

I would call around and ask for some quotes, rates will vary region to region.

As if it wasn't already stated, I'll do it again. You'll just need to get quotes. Sometimes quotes will randomly change because of whatever. Just do some calling and/or clicking.
