I was at school today and a fellow student and I were talking about bikes and he used the term "Crotch Rocket". I promptly corrected him with "Sportbike" and he replied "OK... how about mid-section propulsion device". I chuckled and we resumed our conversation.

It sounds kinda catchy, what do you think?

Crotch rocket is a misnomer, it should be called a gasoline powered posterior propulsion apparatus.

I don't get the big deal... I just accept it becuase I probally called it one before I had a bike. I never took offense too it and it doesn't bother me when other people say.
